Scott Ghee - Co-Chair

I was born in Elkhart, Indiana and through my childhood lived in 10 states.  I have been married to my wonderful wife, Renee, for 21 years.  I have 2 step sons, Kyle (29) and Collin (28).  I never attended church growing up.  Therefore, God was not a part of the first 49 years of my life.  Marriage issues 6 years ago brought to my attention that I was in need of a Savior.  Renee and I attend Sun Valley Community Church and have been very involved in the Re|Engage marriage ministry.  We also are part of a welcoming effort to help with newcomers to our church and with their relationship with God and are part of a small group which we have been meeting with for the last 5 years.  My favorite books in addition to the Bible are “Not a Fan” by Kyle Idleman and “The Case for Christ” by Lee Strobel.  One of my favorite scriptures is Romans 10:9-10.

Marissa Hernandez  - Membership Coordinator

I fellowship at Palm Valley Church where I have been volunteering as a children’s ministry leader with my children since December of 2014. I have three children, all with special needs, that does not stop them from being amazing. I spend most of my free time with my children playing Rockband at home. I am avid book reader and will read pretty much anything. I have also created a charity called; Sweet Piecez, providing free therapy to children whose families may not be able to afford it. I enjoy helping families just like mine, unlocking the blessings that their “Gifted” children hold inside of them. 100% of the proceeds donated through this charity is used to provide fun activities for children with Autism & Special needs.

Sylvia Chacon - Events Coordinator

I am a 4th generation Phoenician. I’ve been married 25 years to my wonderful husband Tommy Chacon Jr. We are both employed with the City of Phoenix and have 4 beautiful children and 3 grandchildren, who are the love of my life.  We are a close family, weekend cookouts are always at my house creating family time memories, which is very important to me. I am a servant at heart, I serve willfully and have a history of working with youth, as a leader in ladies ministries and community events for the homeless. My favorite book is “Keep Your Love On” by Danny Silk, and the truth is…that the world would be a better place if everyone read the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (BIBLE).  I fellowship at Faith Christian Center where my son is on the praise team and my husband and I grow spiritually and enjoy our family in Christ.

Stephen Gorman - Public Relations Coordinator/Webmaster

I was born and raised in the beautiful central coast of California. I moved to Mesa, AZ with my parents and sister in 1996. (I don’t know how long you have to live here to be called a local.) My wife and I and our two kids attend Harvest East Valley Church in Gilbert. I enjoy designing graphics for various activities/functions to help raise awareness of the organization as well as the various ministries it provides. I have a striving passion to know more about God through his word and by the things and people He brings into my life. If I could sum up one word to describe my relationship with God, that word would be "blessed".
